There are 4.5 million neighborhood mom-and-pop shops in Bangladesh, known locally as mudi dokaans, that account for 98% of the country's retail sector, making Bangladesh one of the most fragmented retail markets in Asia. Shopup provides core services to mudi dokaans, including a wholesale marketplace to secure inventory, logistics (including last-mile delivery), and working capital. As of 2021, Shopup serves more than 500,000 sellers and 200 distribution hubs.
Lookalkitchen was born with the mission to enable restaurant owners to optimize their underused commercial kitchens by connecting them to delivery-only online F&B brands. For the restaurant owners, their underused kitchens transform into delivery hubs while generating an additional revenue stream and improving the productivity and efficiency of their existing staff. Forthe online F&B brands, Lookalkitchen creates an attractive alternative to typical cloud kitchens, where brands have to operate their expansion plans themselves.
